Getting help
You are not meant to do this alone — the support structure exists for a reason.
- Office hours (above) are the fastest way to work through a sticking point; bring your attempt, even a wrong one.
- Canvas discussion — post questions others likely share; you will often get a faster answer, and explaining a problem is itself good practice.
- SDSU Astronomy Help Room — free tutoring; the schedule is posted on Canvas.
How to succeed
- Show your reasoning. Steps, units, and assumptions matter more than the final answer.
- Use feedback. Homework and grade memos are designed to prepare you for exams — read the solutions and your own memo carefully.
- Ask early. A five-minute question on Tuesday beats a frantic one the night before the exam.
